Just a Sliver

Taking a deep breath before putting the fork layered with whipped frosting is a delectable delight…unless you are a foodie. Here goes…

What type of cake did you have?

Earlier this week I announced my gratitude for having another milestone, my birthday. But I’m sure you are curious as to what type of cake did I indulge in, and if I had more than one cake.

The Answer!

At my job, my celebration included a cake. You would be proud of me… I had a small piece of cake (2 by 3) and scrapped off the icing! At home, I had a very very thin slice of cheese cake. My husband was wondering where was the rest of it.

Why small pieces?

Don’t forget I am reading The Hunger Fix! I love food! Bread and SWEETS are my weaknesses. If I could have I would have had two pieces of cheese cake and a huge chunk of cake, but that wouldn’t be a needed nutrient, it would have been a desire to engage in unnecessary food behavior.

Coming to grips with your most difficult challenge in life can be easily denied in an instant. Well for me, I know food is a challenge and has to be monitored daily. I have accepted that being so conscious about what I eat as my way of life, affirms my sliver.
