When you are presented with the challenge to walk, run or to accomplish your goal, it can be daunting; however, I wanted to spread the word about a challenge that doesn’t involve something physical, but mental. This is an exercise too!
Let me explain: This blog, Walking for a Cause is geared to individuals that want to better themselves and others. Ultimately, its focus is on current events with walking, more specifically, the upcoming walk at the nation’s capital on October 26, 2013. So, in order for me to get the workout about the cause and why I do the walks that I considered blogging to its ultimate level… to enter a blog challenge called: The Ultimate Blog Challenge (UBC).
The hosts, Michele Scism and Michele Schaeffer, provide a challenge three times a year. They have their own brands that support the challenge; however, they want to help others to get their message (blog) to others. There will be a lot of work involved, but for the love of blogging, I believe this will be a lot of fun.
Are you up for the challenge to blog more and ready to dive in with me during this upcoming month’s blog challenge?
Here are a FAQs from a personal experience from participating in Blog Challenges:
What is a blog challenge?
A blog challenge is when you join a team of people and write your blog for a set amount of days. During this time, you tweet your message, post it on Facebook advertise who you are participating with, read other peoples posts and make comments.
Does the challenge really work?
I can not speak to the UBC’s success, because this is my first time participating in this challenge, but I have joined a challenge and it worked tremendously. Made new connections and was provided with amazing resources.
Do you advertise the person/company who sponsors the challenge?
You do, but in any business adventure…even your blog, you must give a little and learn a little in the process. There is much work placed in a blog challenge on both ends. Remember, when you post a comment on someone else’s blog, they see your URL and brand.
What happens at the end of the challenge?
It depends on your ultimate purpose for your blog-whether you are looking for clients or whether you are wanting to make more contacts to have others interested in your writing topics. You will have to decide what you want to gain from the blog challenge.
