I’m sitting on Amtrak awaiting to go home after a mini trip. Unbeknowst to me they have Wi-Fi and a plug for me to charge my phone. (A lot can change in two years!) I guess this is what happens when you normally drive yourself everywhere. I must treat myself more often to train rides.
So, as I was reviewing what my intentions are for the upcoming October’s Blog Challenge with the blog guru’s Michelle Scism and Michelle Shaeffer (The Ultimate Blog Challenge), it dawned in me that it was rather important that you know I really want you to reach a goal for your cause. The month of October will have a different focus and help you see how your cause can have so much to offer to others. However, before I give you the 5 Things You Can Do For Your Cause, I would like to review What is the Cause and Define the Cause. What is THE CAUSE: an organization or group that is an advocate for something (usually health related) such as breast cancer, colon cancer, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, or a situation such as eating vegan to save the animals, save the farms, etc. Defining THE CAUSE for you can be…
- Gaining self-reliance
- Enhancing inner strength
- Facing reality about a situation or loved one
- Rewarding and uplifting
As you embark your cause remember: it is to benefit you personally, but help others in the process.
Now, its time to discover the 5 Things You Can Do for Your Cause
- Read often about your cause either on the website or magazine (through the foundation or association);
- Join a team or create a team for your cause (most organizations have a site where you can create a team);
- Donate to your cause by volunteering or monetarily;
- Take a class to learn more about your cause; or
- Join a support group to help you through the cause.
If you try to accomplish one or more of these items with in the next three months. When accomplished, you will have done well assisting your cause and enhancing your knowledge-base of what is happening and the advancements of your cause. Consider my Amtrak experience, though we may be familiar with what something is, it changes and we must keep abreast to the situation…Full-Speed Ahead!———–
