Day 23: Love, Agape Love

The four letter vocabulary word that means so much toward a healthy lifestyle is “love”.  Love is something that can be shared in so many ways, but what is most important about love is that it is something that must come from the heart.  It can not be empty, it can not be manufactured and it can not be used lightly.  In many occasions, there is a particular verse that is used when referencing love, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Love is something that involves our mind, body and soul.  This is an emotional word that it can tear us up or it can build us up.  What is it about love that makes it so special in your life?  How is your life enriched with the people that you love and how it is returned?

One day my family and I were in church and the apostle was describing love in a way that had never been described before.  She wanted us to really understand true unconditional love as it was written in the Bible.  She had us read 1 Corinthians and then she went a step further…her description of love was to be recognized and appreciated from the omnipotent and omnipresent Father that would give us the unwavering love where we gather our faith from, agape love.  Agape love is an unconditionally love that is one of the deepest loves, where we are to love one another (every person).

As you have completed this 21 Day Healthy Lifestyle Vocabulary, I share this T.D. Jakes video “Love Has No Loopholes”.  There are several parts to this sermon, but it is very genuine in how he describes love.  He states that in order for us to love others, we must love ourselves.

Assignment:  Creating a lifestyle where you are using vocabulary that promotes positivity is important.  It enhances how you think, eat, and move in your daily walk.  What of the 21 vocabulary words did you receive a message that resonated with what you needed for “nourishment?’
