One thing that you need to keep in mind is that you don’t want to grow your waistline by continuously eating the holiday foods or even preparing more of the holiday foods for fun. The Health Foods Challenge is one that hits really hard after the holidays so here are a few pointers that should help you as you face the new year.
Look in your cabinet and take inventory of what you have. Look at each shelf and truly take everything off of the shelves. Look at the sodium count, the additives and artificial flavoring and colors. What is the caloric intake per serving? As yourself the question: Is this the direction that you want to begin the year?
Looking in your food pantry will take time, but you will have to take a sheet of paper out and really decide what canned foods you want to have, snacks, canned meat and more.
