Snacks are a good part of your daily regimen for eating healthy. But you must first ask yourself the question, “What’s in my snack drawer?”
If you work for any corporation or company, you may be tempted to go to their snack machine especially around the three o’clock hour. Or if you are working late that you need to get something to give you more energy for that next meeting at 7:00 pm, and you just don’t have enough time to go to a restaurant to get something that is deemed “healthy”.
So what is a person to do?
Do not get rid of your snack drawer! Not just yet. Take inventory first…okay if it is filled with candy bars, then you may need to get rid of it. However, you can be careful in what you place in your snack drawer.
In my journey to locate a perfect snack drawer, I located one on emloves.com. I find this website quite useful, because she has a variety of recipes that would fit a variety of households. Take a look at her drawer at work. It contains all of the necessary essentials that one needs for that three o’clock snack or even if you have that late night meeting. She has given me the courage to try to create my own snack drawer or box for work. I carry snacks with me, but they come and go with me,, because I love celery, carrots, dates, nuts, grape tomatoes and more. But she does have a few more staples that would come in handy for the later more heartier snack.
