There is a point where we owe our audience an explanation.  And, this time, it was me to explain the disappearance of Jeweled Ministries.

  • Where did it go?
  • Why after so many followers did she take the website, radio and free services away?

I thought one of the best places to do show was through my old handle of  My intent is to let the follows learn that they mean the world to me and that what they taught me for those three years were extremely valuable, but… (You’ll hear the rest!)

I encourage you to take the opportunity to listen to this show…after 2 years!

Who Do You Know Deserves a Service Award

On January 15, 1929, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was born.  He is known for his civil rights movement during the 1960’s  such as the March on Washington, sit-in’s, speeches and more; however, his mission stood for many other things…more importantly to have community that served everyone.

Though on the third Monday of the month in January we celebrate his birthday with a day off from work, the Corporation for National and Community Service has developed this federal holiday’s mission into not just a day off, but a day “on” to serve others as a way to fulfill his dream.

“The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the President’s national call to service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.” (United States Government, n.d.)

What a perfect day for you to help the goal of Walking for a Cause in its mission to help (recognize) others.  Who do you know that is serving others and “walking…not talking for their cause” in their community promoting a healthy lifestyle or promoting total wellness.  The positive outlook about the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is that he did not just set aside just one day to serve the community.  Thus, I am encouraging you to nominate someone who you believe would be honored to receive a service award for their cause, the Walking for a Cause Wellness Service Award.

In order to nominate a person, you will need to complete the nomination form by January 30, 2014:  Wellness Service Award Nomination Form.
